Our Podiatry Treatments: Start the Year With a Spring in Your Step

An increasingly popular service here at Riverside Dental Spa, Podiatry takes focus on the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of conditions that affect our feet and ankles.

This includes the treatment of a wide range of complaints that can occur, including Athletes Foot, Bunions, dead skin, ingrown toenails, nail disorders and Verrucas.

Here we look at the Podiatry treatments offered by our team and explore how they can be successfully used to relieve your symptoms in 2019.

Bio-Mechanical Assessment

There are a number of problems such as bunions and dry skin that can cause pain or discomfort in our feet, ankles, knees and shins. So in order to explore these issues and make an accurate diagnosis of how it can be treated, we perform a Biomechanical Assessment.

Performed through a consultation with an experienced Podiatrist, a Biomechanical Assessment begins with brief medical questions and related questions, before a comprehensive Gait Analysis is performed in order to analyse your condition and find a suitable remedy.

Ingrown Toenails

Ingrown toenails are a common and painful condition that occur when the side of the nail becomes buried in the soft flesh on our toes, causing swelling and infection. This can be relieved through a simple procedure to remove a small section on the nail, allowing it to grow back healthily.

Medical Pedicure

This complete pedicure treatment is performed on a dry foot in order to treat a number of issues including Athletes Foot, callus, corns and dead or dry skin. The result is the safe surgical removal of all issues - leaving the feet shaped, buffed and revitalized.

Nail Disorders

Abnormalities such as such as spots, discoloration, and nail separation are common and can be a persistent and unpleasant problem. These issues can be dealt with through expert treatment by a Podiatrist, remedying issues and preventing future occurrences.

Verruca removal

Verrucas are viral infections that affect the outermost layer of the sole of the foot, presenting as a visible lesion on the skin. We offer many quick and easy treatments to sufferers such a caustic agents, liquid nitrogen freezing and needling.
