Christmas is getting ever closer and we are all thinking about giving and receiving presents, as well as looking forward to indulging in some tasty treats and spending time with our friends and family. There are sure to be a few children wishing for their two front teeth for Christmas but let us share with you a few things that we would like for Christmas!
Patients to look after their oral health this Christmas
We all tend to overindulge a little at Christmas time, but it’s important to keep up with your normal oral health routine and drink plenty of water. Whilst it can be difficult, we would also advise trying to lay off sugar where possible as sugar is one of the most recognised causes for the build-up of plaque and contributes to tooth decay and enamel erosion.
Whilst it might sound peculiar, steer clear of brushing your teeth right after a meal – when we have eaten sugary, acidic meals, this leaves the enamel of our teeth vulnerable, it’s important to wait an hour after a meal before you brush your teeth.
Patients to book regular check-ups
At Riverside Dental Spa, rather than simply treating you when you have a problem with your teeth, we aim to prevent these problems from happening in the first place. We would love for our patients to come and see us every four to six months for a check-up so that we can make sure that your teeth and gums are in a good condition. It makes us happy to know that you have healthy mouths.
Patients to look after their skin and feet
Skin treatments help to rejuvenate your skin, keeping it looking healthy and youthful. Our treatments focus on facial skin but can also be used to help hydrate the neck, décolletage, arms and hands, for a refreshed and youthful look.
As we spend a lot of time standing up and walking, looking after your feet is absolutely vital, so if you are worried about your feet or ankles, be sure to give us a call on 0800 0154 222. At Riverside Dental Spa, we can treat many common podiatric conditions, including nail disorders, verruca treatments and ingrowing toenails. We also carry out medical pedicures, acupuncture and bio-mechanical assessment.
We love our patients and love to hear from them, so it’s wonderful when patients give us great reviews on social media and recommend us to their friends and family. If you have had a great experience of our treatments, please don’t hesitate to share your experience with others.
Healthy and happy patients
Most importantly, what we want most for Christmas is for our patients to be healthy – looking after their teeth and gums, maintaining a healthy diet and generally following a healthy lifestyle. It’s our job to help patients keep their teeth clean and healthy, so we love to see our patients smiling and confident in their smile.
The best way to spread Christmas cheer is most certainly smiling!
