The Lowdown on Zoom Teeth Whitening

The Lowdown on Zoom Teeth Whitening

What does it cost, how long it takes and what results you can expect

Summer is a time when many people find themselves looking at their teeth more and wondering how they can improve their smiles. Holiday photos and selfies with friends at this time of year, might highlight the imperfections of your smile and have you questioning how you can smile more confidently next time. One way to improve your smile and get that confidence back is by whitening your teeth using a dentist recommended treatment such as Zoom teeth whitening.  If you want to find out more about what it costs, how long it takes and the results you might expect, please read on.

How Long Does Zoom Dental Whitening Take?

The answer is in the name - Zoom dental whitening is a fast and effective treatment to lighten teeth that have been discoloured by smoking, drinking red wine or coffee, or taking certain medications.

There are also two options with Zoom whitening, so you can either choose:

  • In practice same day whitening - this is a great choice if you have deep discoloration or are looking for immediate results. We’ll apply a whitening gel to your teeth and use an activating light to break up the stains. The appointment will take just an hour of your time and you’ll be able to see results almost immediately.
  • At home whitening - this is great if you want the convenience of whitening your teeth at home and can spare at least 30 minutes each day for a period of 2 weeks to wear the transparent mouth guards and whitening gel we provide you with. Most of our patients find it easiest to sleep with their mouthguards in, so all the hard work is done overnight. You’ll notice results in as little as a few days, though the recommended treatment time is two weeks. The results can also be locked in by having the in-practice whitening treatment as well as the take home whitening.

What Results Can You Expect?

As with any whitening treatment, the results may vary from patient to patient, however, in general Zoom treatment can whiten the teeth up to 6 shades lighter.

How long these results last really depends on you and your lifestyle choices. For example if you smoke, or drink a lot of tea, coffee and red wine, you’ll notice that the stains will come back eventually. To help prolong the results we’ll advise you on the best teeth cleaning regime, including which toothbrush and toothpaste to use and the foods and drinks to keep to a minimum.

What Does it Cost?

At Riverside Dental Spa we are pleased to offer Zoom dental whitening without any extra costs. Our in-practice same day whitening costs just £450, whilst our take home whitening plus in-practice whitening costs £600.
