Our practice reopens - what to expect when you visit

We are delighted to announce that our practice has reopened, as of 8th June 2020, following the Coronavirus lockdown.  Whilst we appreciate that many of you will have missed routine and treatment appointments during the last few months, and will be keen to make sure your oral health is back on track, it is important to realise that our practice will be operating differently to before.

Emergency and urgent dental care

To begin with, we will be accepting appointments only for emergency and urgent dental care, to ensure that those with severe dental problems or pain can be treated with priority.  If you are worried about missing routine check up appointments, please do rest assured that we will be in touch with you to rearrange your appointment as soon as it is feasible to do so.

Virtual dental consultations

To minimise face to face appointments and dental care, in line with government guidelines, we will be offering some of our services virtually from June.  This includes consultations for Invisalign teeth straightening treatments and also cosmetic makeovers.  These appointments give our practitioners the opportunity to assess your smile and the issues you are facing, and to discuss the options available to you - all from the comfort of your own home.

Patient screening

Prior to any appointments we will be contacting you to make sure that you are not displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 or have not been in touch with anyone who might have the virus.  This is to make sure we all do our bit to stop the spread of the virus, and continue to ensure the safety of staff and patients.

When you arrive for your appointment

When you arrive at our practice you will notice that there are a series of social distancing measures in place to protect patients and staff.  You will need to try and maintain a 2 metre distance from others whilst in the building and we will do all we can to ensure there are the minimum number of people in the building at any one time.  When you enter, we ask that you use the hand sanitiser provided.  You should also wear your own mask or face covering and avoid touching the surfaces where possible.

To further protect you, our staff will all be wearing masks and PPE, but hopefully you will still recognise us under all of this protective equipment!
