The use of the Invisalign system has grown rapidly over the past decade, mainly because it has made orthodontic treatment more accessible to adults who may previously have been put off by the appearance of traditional metal braces.
What is Invisalign?
Recommended worldwide, Invisalign has been used to successfully treat more than half a million cases and has proved particularly effective in treating crooked teeth and closing unwanted gaps.
The treatment works by applying a series of ‘clear aligner’ moulds (much like mouthguards) to the teeth. These aligners are changed every two weeks depending on the progress of your treatment, and gradually move the teeth into a more natural and attractive position.
Invisalign aligners are particularly popular as they are completely invisible, which means that there are no signs of treatment and the speech of the patient is not at all impaired. Even better, treatment with Invisalign usually takes half the time of a traditional orthodontic procedure, and because the aligner is removable, patients can brush and clean their teeth as normal.
With the use of state-of-the-art 3D computer imaging and the innovative Invisalign technology available here at Riverside Dental Spa, our patients are also able to view a ‘virtual treatment’ plan which allows them to see in advance what their new smile will look like!
